St. Augustine was founded in 1556 by Pedro Menedez de Aviles. Its coquina fort, Castillo de San Marcos, and lively historic district are popular destinations for tourists and locals alike. St. Augustine is situated just 25 minutes south of Ponte Vedra Beach and encompasses more than just the original historic area. Today’s city stretches west to the St. Johns River, east to the ocean, and south to Crescent Beach. The area is home to a variety of real estate options for all income levels.
